Our Pastor
Kenny Dunn was called by God to preach the Gospel and sing, at the tender age of 15, while living in Stecoah Valley, in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. Since that time, Kenny has been blessed to minister much throughout the United States, spoken to over 70 nations in a short-wave radio scheduled event, and travelled extensively to foreign countries. He has also had much experience with Christian radio and television, as host, co-host, and guest.
He received his official licensing credentials through United Christian Ministerial Association, and his BA degree from Cornerstone University, Jerusalem, Israel.
Kenny and Hirra, his wife of 40 years, this 2023, enjoy children, grand-children, the ministry, and sharing fellowship in the Lord with others, including people of different nationalities and cultures. Kenny is now the Pastor of The Lighthouse Church, and his life’s theme is Philippians 3:10: ‘That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death’
Statement of Faith
The Lighthouse embraces classical Pentecostal Theology by the scriptures, and our founding documents lay out the framework for our church. Here are some of the foundational truths:
– There is only one God, and He is omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent, unlimited by time, realm, or space; He still performs miracles, and is quite involved with His people. (1)
– The Bible, both Old and New Testament, is the inspired, inerrant, infallible, invincible Word of God, with full literal, as well as, figurative meaning. It is the Divine Authority and compass for our lives. (2)
– Jesus Christ is the Messiah of Israel and the Savior of the world; He was born of a virgin, of David’s lineage, lived a sinless life, and willingly lay down His life, as an atonement to save us. Jesus is the Image of the invisible God, and all the fullness of the Godhead dwells in Him bodily, as the Word of God made flesh. (3)
– The Spirit of God, as part of the Godhead (Father/Son/Holy Spirit), moved upon holy men of old and was poured out on the Day of Pentecost, as promised in scripture; He empowers God’s people to witness and live a holy life style by work of grace in a life long process. (4)
– The Scriptures teach God’s way for marriage, family, church, friends, work, business, and all aspects of life that will benefit our own lives and glorify God, by the power of the Holy Spirit.
– Both Heaven (5a) and Hell (5b) are literal and are specifically addressed in the Scriptures.
– The Trumpet of the Lord may call for God’s people at any time, and Jesus is returning to earth again. (6)

Church History
Back in the 1950s, when Route 192 was a lonely road traveling through the cow pastures of West Melbourne, a small group of visionary Christian men established what they called The Pilgrim Foundation on the current church grounds. The Foundation was to serve as a retreat and get-away for Christian ministers and missionaries. But West Melbourne was growing fast, and the need for a local assembly of pentecost-oriented believers became apparent. Buildings were erected and church services commenced. In 1976, the Pentecostal Temple of Faith was incorporated under Florida law. The community responded in faith with good attendance and support. Two buildings housed the church initially: a sanctuary with a baptismal and Sunday school rooms, and a parsonage for the pastor and his family. A few years later, in 1979, Pentecostal Lighthouse, Inc. became the newly named corporation, and a new sanctuary was added, allowing the old sanctuary to become a fellowship hall, evangelist quarters, and a Sunday school. The church still serves the community to this day on the same Route 192 property.
